Contents of Early Season Box (June, 2011)
Looking for the freshest produce for the upcoming growing season? Become a member of Lida Farm's CSA program.  2012 will be our 7th season operating a CSA in Otter Tail County, so we like to think we know what we're doing at this point.  Your membership is not only a means to good produce, but also a way to support a small family-operated farm in your neighborhood.  

SHARE TYPES
We offer two kinds of CSA shares: a full share where you receive a bushel box of what's in season every week for 16 weeks and an every-other-week share where you receive a box, well, every other week over the same time.

PRICE
To keep our shares reasonably-priced and convenient, we are starting to tier our pricing and delivery options for 2012: 

Full share (bushel box each week for 16 weeks): 
  • Pick up at farm - $400
  • Two or more shares delivered to one site - $425
  • Delivery to single site - $450 
Every-other-week share (bushel box every other week): 
  • Pick up at farm - $200
  • Two or more shares delivered to one site - $225
  • Delivery to single site - $250
DELIVERY TIME AND AREA
We will deliver to your home or business in Pelican Rapids, Detroit Lakes, Vergas, Cormorant, and a lot of the lakes in between on Friday afternoons (1-5 pm).  


WHAT'S IN A BOX
In each bushel box you'll receive a mix of what's in season (between 6-12 different crops).  The early season boxes will obviously be different than late season boxes.   All our crops are grown without any synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers.  We concentrate on the staples like lettuce, tomatoes, and sweet corn, but we also make sure to mix it up with some interesting crops too.

WHAT ELSE
CSA members are invited to attend the on-farm events we will be hosting this upcoming season where you'll have a chance to see the farm, pick some veggies, and maybe get your hands dirty.  We want you to see first-hand the care we take into providing you the best produce and give you a change to experience the farm for yourself.

Besides the produce we also will be raising whole chickens again this year for $2.50/lb. You have the option of reserving how every many you'd like on the order form below and they'll be available for pickup when done.
